Life After Graduation, LLC is the leading independent publisher and presentation company focused on college transition issues. In 1999, Terry Arndt, the President and Founder of Life After Graduation, started the company in response to the clear need for various resources, tools and information that would ensure academic, financial and career success for college students and recent graduates. Nine years later, Life After Graduation has worked with more than 500 colleges, employers, and education-based organizations. Their publications have been read and utilized by more than one hundred thousand college students and recent graduates across the country. And with the addition of on-campus presentations and its free newsletter, Life After Graduation has reached an even larger audience. The key to Life After Graduation’s success is the company’s focus on producing the highest quality products and services available. To do this, we incorporate the best research and use the best resources on college transition issues available, including college educators, students, career professionals, recent graduates, recruiters, and industry professionals. Life After Graduation understands that no two colleges, employers or education-based organizations are identical. We also understand that budget cuts and limited staff time often make it difficult to provide college students and recent graduates with the resources they need to be successful during and after college. That is why Life After Graduation offers its customers products and services that are easily implemented into existing programs, as well as individualized products and services. In addition, we work with our customers to offer them suggestions and ideas on how they can provide their students and recent graduates our publications at no cost, or a significantly reduced cost. Helping students achieve academic, financial and career success is our company’s mission. However, we cannot do this without our customers. That is why we strive to exceed our customers’ expectations with everything we do.
Terry Arndt, MBA
Like most college students, Terry faced the struggles of transitioning into and out of college on his own. He grew up in a small farming community in Washington State and has firsthand experience with the culture shock of moving to a large college campus: How to deal with roommates? How do you make yourself known in a class of hundreds of other students? What's the most effective way to take notes? What major should you declare? Once you graduate, how do you land and succeed in your first job? And, how do you get yourself out of debt? Terry made those questions the basis for his life's work. He recognized that there needed to be easy-to-access, comprehensive, and readable resources aimed at helping students successfully transition from high school to college and from college to the "real world." He interviewed professionals in a variety of fields--academic, corporate, and scientific--and discovered that there were common keys to success. After years or exhaustive research, he condensed his findings into simple, easy-to-read, easy-to-understand concepts that the average person, regardless of background, could apply to his or her own life to achieve academic, financial, and career success. Terry’s education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington State University and a Masters of Business degree from the University of Florida. He has held various sales and marketing positions in the agriculture, technology and hospitality industries. Terry has also worked in the United States Senate coordinating international trade missions to China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, as well as assisted with a variety of policy issues – including tax, business, agriculture and international trade. For the past eight years, Terry Arndt has served as the President of Life After Graduation, LLC. His goal continues to be developing resources, tools and information that will ensure academic, financial and career success for college students and recent graduates so that they can confidently transition into and out of college.
