What is Group Ordering, Why do I Want to Participate, How do I do It, and What are the Specifics? Great questions! And, as you know, great questions deserve great answers. See below.

What is Group Ordering? Simple, Group Ordering allows you to place your order with another college, department or organization.

Why do I want to participate? Each member of the group pays less per book because your order is based on the groups total order quantity – not just the size of your individual order. Here’s an example:

 

You order 250 Individualized copies of Your Financial Future. You tell a couple colleagues about our publications and they each place an order – one for 300 standard copies of Life During College and the other for 600 Individualized copies of Backpack To Briefcase. If each of you placed your order separately, the prices would look like this:

250 books at $6.95
300 books at $6.45
600 books at $5.95

However, because you place your order as a group, you each pay the applicable rates at the 1150 quantity level. Therefore, the prices would look like this:

250 books at $4.50
300 books at $4.50
600 books at $4.50

In addition to the quantity discount level, the 300 book customer takes advantage of our FREE Individualized books option for orders of 1,000 books or more. In addition, if the group places their order during our “Early Order Discount” Promotion, everyone saves an additional 5-10%. As you can see, there are a lot of ways to save with the Group Order program.

 

How do I do it? Easy, there are a lot of ways. For example:

  • Contact other departments in your own school or organization (Alumni, Career Services, Orientation, Student Activities, etc.) and encourage them to order. We offer a variety of publications that many of your departments can utilize….and yes, you can mix-and-match our books within your Group Order.

  • Contact other schools or organizations in your region, state or even across the country. Encourage them to contact us for samples so they can see first hand the value and quality of our publications and services. Once they do, they’ll be sold and you will have another member in your group!

  • Contact members of your professional associations. Professional associations are great places to exchange ideas about how to save your organization money……and provide your students and graduates great products to help them succeed.

 

What are the specifics? There are a couple minor items you will want to keep in mind as you develop a Group Order.

  • The benefit of the Group Order process for us is that you are finding the other members of your group…and new customers for us. Therefore, we cannot provide you contact information to locate other members of your group….that’s up to you and the other members of your group. However, we will help you along the way by providing potential members samples and other information to help and encourage them to place an order.

  • One-half of the members of your Group Order MUST be new customers.

  • Each member of the Group Order MUST order at least 100 books.

  • All orders MUST be for non-retail purposes (i.e. no bookstore orders allowed).

  • The Group Order MUST have a cut-off date (the date in which all orders in the group will be processed). Be sure to pick a date that will allow members of the group sufficient time to receive their orders...particularly members of the group who want to Individualize their order. Each member places their order individually on-line, by phone or fax. As they do, be sure to mention that you are part of a Group Order. To make it fun, give your Group Order a name. How about…The Totally Awesome Group?!?! If not, any name will do…just be sure everyone uses the same name! Or you can just let us know you are with X and Y College.

  • To help make recruiting members easier for you – be sure to let prospective members know that, although we are charging you the Group Order rate, we treat each order from your group as an individual order. Therefore, each member can order a different book, individualize the cover if they wish, and we will bill and ship each order separately. Even if you need your books at totally different times of the year, we will do our best to ensure everyone gets their order when they need them.
